"Today is the day on which we begin consuming more resources than Earth is producing - and producing more waste than Earth can absorb - for 2009." I'm posting this "story" because I think awareness is important, even if we find that there is little we can do in our own lives or situations to make a big difference.  We might find, via being informed, that we can something, even if it's as small as using water filters instead of buying bottled water, for example.  See link for full story!
